MORE sleep could be the key to successful weight loss, scientists believe.

According to The Sun, if people are sleeping for eight hours, they will at least have access to unhealthy snacks.

Scientists have found that hunger does not bother enough people sleeping between seven and nine o’clock. Also, these people choose more healthy foods and have enough energy to exercise.

“What people are less tired, they will rarely need to eat sweetened foods that they think will give the body energy. They also rarely come for unhealthy snacks, “nutritionist Wendy Hall said.

Previous studies have shown that most adults sleep on average less than seven hours. The reason is most often the job, playing games and smartphones used in bed.

Hall says fatigue means that hormones responsible for controlling appetite are not in balance.

“Sleep duration can affect food choices and help maintain healthy weight,” she concluded.
