YOU CAN do your best to take care of your health, but it does not seem to work for you. At least according to nutritionists in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
We asked them if people could be healthier if they only threw out one grocery from the diet and what food would be. The leading experts had quite interesting answers:
“If there is only one thing that I would like people to stop eating in 2019, it would be processed meat. It is classified as carcinogenic (along with smoking and asbestos), and also contributes to the resistance of an organism to antibiotics, it is associated with problems with hormones, and it can disrupt the blood sugar level. Processed meat is associated with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and inflammation, “explained his selection of the most dangerous foods, Rhian Stephenson, nutritionist and director of Psycle London.
He also claims that such meat is full of hormones, antibiotics and veterinary drugs.
“It is a concentrated source of sodium nitrate, a chemical that is not only used to preserve the meat but also to add flavour and colour. Such nitrates are transformed into nitrosamines, which are carcinogenic compounds leading to higher rates of colon, stomach and pancreas, “claims Stephenson.
TOO MUCH SALT
“Overeating salt can increase blood pressure, which can increase the risk of developing heart disease and stroke. Most of the salt we consume is hidden in food, so it can be difficult to determine how much it is added to the body daily,” says nutritionist Lily Soutter. Salt is an essential component of the diet, but many consume excessive amounts.
Also, Sutter points out that a variety of spices can enhance the food’s flavour, and not just by using salt.
Also, she warned of the fact that many very quickly fall into marketing traps related to alleged healthy alternatives.
“Many claims that the pink Himalayan salt can cure everything, which can lead to the pre-liberal use of this type of salt,” she explained, adding that it is so easy to create a counterfeit.
If it is to believe a nutritionist specialising in women’s health, dr, Marilyn Glenville, everyone in 2019 should consider full ejection or at least reduce the amount of added sugar they consume.
“Sugar can be the main culprit for the health problems of many people. The symptoms I usually encounter when women come to my clinic are rapid heartbeat, decreased libido, payload, dizziness, anxiety, headaches, muscle cramps – and all of these symptoms which can be a consequence of a change in blood sugar levels, ” – Glenville explained, adding that most people are consuming foods that are being advertised as healthy, and actually contain incredible amounts of sugar.
“If there is one thing that I want people to stop consuming, they are vegetable oils. I am mainly talking about refined cooking oil, such as sunflower oil or rapeseed oil, which are still being promoted as healthy, but in reality, it is more likely that the long-term be harmful to our health, “says nutritionist Cassandra Barns, and advises the use of coconut or olive oil instead.
