DIY should not be hard and it is often referred by nutrition experts and does not advocate drastic changes, but fewer changes such as eating healthier substitutes.

There are even some foods you can consume if you want to get rid of a few extra pounds and have been discovered by dietician Susie Burrell.

Greek yoghurt

Burrell Greek yoghurt is considered an ideal snack because it has little sugar and plenty of protein. He advises you always to get hold of probiotics and you can eat him for breakfast or prepare smoothies.


“The biggest problem is with what we eat shrimp,” says the dietician and notes that they should not be fried in deep oil or served with sauces and gums that are abundant with unnecessary fats and sugar.


Lemon is a fruit that can spice almost every meal and is an excellent source of vitamin C.


These delicious berries contain antioxidants, vitamin C, fibre and little calories.


The dark leaves of the spinach are nutritiously rich. The sources are vitamin C, E, K and folate. Burrell advises you to prepare it on olive oil.


According to Burrell, white fish is the best option for anyone trying to lose weight.

“It’s rich in protein, not much fat and calories,” she explained, adding that we found both vitamin B6 and magnesium in the white fish.

Green tea

Although not food, dietician Burrell believes that green tea cannot be left out of this list.

“If you’re looking for something to speed up fat burning, have a few cups of green tea,” he says.
